Dr. Kalman Stein

Principal Emeritus

After fifteen years as principal, Dr. Kalman Stein assumed the position of headmaster, a role in which enjoyed watching The Frisch School’s new, dynamic administrative team build upon and enhance the school’s long tradition as a warm, supportive environment which encourages students to expand their religious and intellectual horizons in an atmosphere which values the individuality of each of the young men and women in our school. He currently serves as Principal Emeritus. Dr. Stein came to Frisch after more than twenty years as principal of Maimonides School in Boston and of the Hillel School in Deal. He earned a doctorate in Modern European History at Columbia University, has done graduate work in Education, and was a Jerusalem Fellow.
