Religious Growth

Frisch inspires students to deepen their commitment to halacha, Torah values and Medinat Yisrael. Our wide array of Judaic studies courses allow each student to take a leading role in his or her own religious growth, whether drawn to Gemara, Halacha, Tefillah, Machshava, or Chassidut. Students develop a love and appreciation for Talmud Torah and the skills and motivation for life-long learning. Formal and informal educational programs are infused with religious meaning and cultivate spiritual growth.

Regular Chessed programming in a variety of settings further emphasizes the importance of this concept. Orly shared how she turned her passion for gluten-free baking into a thriving business. Remembering Maoz Morell z”l

This Yom Hazikaron, we honored the memory of Maoz Morell z”l, cousin of our beloved Mrs. Adina Kramer. At just 21, Maoz gave his life in Gaza, heroically saving 12 fellow soldiers while under fire.

A quiet and humble soul, Maoz carried Mesilat Yesharim in his pocket and lived by goals of kindness, discipline, and resilience.

“You are missing from us,” said his 13-year-old sister. But his legacy lives on—of strength, humility, and selfless courage.

Our round robin skits told the story of Israel’s founding through the eyes of heroes like David Ben-Gurion, Rav Kook, Louis Brandeis, and even a special appearance by King David! These skits, performed by our talented faculty, highlighted the rootedness and indigeneity of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel from the inception of our people thousands of years ago through the present, the Jewish return to Zion in modern times, as well as the proud history of American Zionism, whose values have always echoed America’s call to freedom.

Mazal tov to our very own Ilan Romm ‘25 on winning second place at the International Chidon HaTanach for Youth in Jerusalem! An incredible achievement, reflecting years of dedication and mastery of over 400 chapters of Tanach.

Mazal tov as well to Elad Yanir (אלעד יניר) from Israel on winning first place! What an inspiring accomplishment for both finalists!
