More than 70 students and faculty members came to donate blood at Frisch’s annual blood drive coordinated with the Central Jersey Blood Center.
The blood drive took place from 9:00 a.m. to about 3:30 in the afternoon. Ambassadors from each grade helped organize and staff the event (and donate blood themselves). Donors were asked a series of questions about their health before giving blood, during which time they relaxed and listened to music before being treated to Munchkin donut holes, a variety of other snacks and drinks, and vouchers for a pizza lunch to recoup some of their strength. But more importantly, those who donated received the satisfaction of knowing that their simple act of volunteerism helped save lives. Thank you to all those who came to donate.
