The annual Niche.com rankings of Best Schools for 2018 has been released, and Yeshivat Frisch made the list of the top 100 schools in New Jersey—the only Jewish school, as well as the only school in Paramus and Teaneck, to do so. The list includes both private and public schools, at all grade levels, and looked at over 4000 schools in total. Overall, Frisch received a grade of A+.
The methodology Niche uses to generate the rankings is based on academic scores, school culture, parent and student surveys, faculty, clubs and activities, health and safety, resources and facilities and sports options. According to their website, “Niche has the most comprehensive data available on U.S. schools and neighborhoods,” with over 100 million reviews.
Frisch boasts a rigorous dual curriculum of Jewish and General Studies, and exciting electives in everything from Medical Ethics to Journalism and Artist Beit Midrash. One of the unique aspects of the school’s academic program is its option of four specialized tracks—in art, music, foreign languages and engineering. The school also has numerous Varsity and Junior Varsity sports teams, and over 100 students clubs, including everything from different chesed initiatives, Torah Bowl and Chidon HaTanach to drama, poetry, sign language, robotics and Girls Who Code. (More clubs are added every year at students’ initiative.)
“The ranking reflects the dedication and creativity of our faculty and the remarkable achievements of our students,” said Frisch Principal Rabbi Eli Ciner.
