A contingent of students, accompanied by Mrs. Weiss, attended the Simon Wiesenthal Center 2016 Dorothy Gardner Adler State of Antisemitism lecture at Temple Emanu-El this week.Lord George Carey, former Archbishop of Canterbury spoke on, “Combating History’s Oldest Hate: A Christian Perspective.”
“The lecture was a reassurance to me that Jews are not alone in their fight against antisemitism,” said Benjy Schwartz ’16, one of the students who attended the lecture. “The former Archbishop made me realize that interfaith cooperation and support can accomplish much more good in the world than any single religious group could ever accomplish independently.”
