September 16, 2019

In advance of the Israeli election on Tuesday, Yeshivat Frisch students had the opportunity to learn about the Israeli election process and the various parties competing for the reigns of leadership. Rabbi David Sher, Frisch’s director of Israel education, addressed a number of topics: what makes Israel’s parliamentary system unique; how the Israeli electoral process led to two elections in the same year; the various political issues surrounding this election; the major parties competing to form a government and the different potential scenarios and outcomes of the election. Afterwards, members of AISAC, Frisch’s America Israel Student Action Committee club addressed their fellow students about various opportunities for becoming involved in Israel advocacy and education throughout the coming year.
